Class progression

Our classes are growing, fast!

We are pleased to announce that our classes are growing very fast. To such an extent, in fact, that we will soon be looking for a new training hall.

After just a few months the Brighton Wing Chun class is outgrowing it's training room. We would like to thank all the new students who have made this possible and also our more senior students for their support.

We may have to limit class numbers whilst we are in the process of seeking new premises, so get to your trial lessons soon!

I have been a fan of martial arts from my early teens my first interests were Japanese martial arts which led me to take lessons in Ninjutsu and Aikido. In my early twenties a friend of mine showed me a kung fu movie. Having been inspired I set out to find Kung Fu.

All this was whilst I was still living in Essex and I first found Tai Chi. Although not a martial style of tai chi and practicing with old women I felt the benefits after just a few weeks and my inspiration was held, but I still didn't have Kung Fu.I kept searching and found a Wing Chun Kung Fu class!

I had no idea at the time what Wing Chun was or that it was the same style Bruce Lee had learned!

Shortly after I moved out of Essex and found myself living by the sea in sunny Brighton. Three weeks after arriving I found a local Kung fu class and began attending. Three years later and I have the Kung Fu I was after, it has been the best decision of my life.

Now I am honoured to be running the Brighton Wing Chun kung fu school.
